The queen pours the drink in to Fia's mouth and steps back, there is a blinding flash and lying in the mud is Fia. "Oh my, I didn't think it would be you! I best take this bracelet off you". As soon as the bracelet is off Fia tries to get up but her dress and mud pull her down. Esmeralda offers a hand but Fia refuses and struggles to get up for another minute before standing up, her whole body now covered in mud and god knows what else. "Things are moving quicker than thought they would but I always say that's a good thing. I best start by telling you who I am."
The queen flicks her hand, there is a puff of smoke and standing in her place is the one of the oldest ugliest women Fia has ever seen. Fia's mouth drops open, then the smell coming off the woman hits and instead gagged. It was difficult to describe the women that stood in front of Fia. She was dressed in rags, with a hunched back, most of her teeth were gone, her face was very pointed to sum it up she looked exactly like what Fia had always pictured a witch to look like. Fia passed out.
When she came round the witch was sat very close to her, Fia tried to get up and flee up but again her dress stop her. The witch laughed at her "they told me you a right princess but I didn't believe them".
Fia just about got up again and said in a very small voice "who are you and what to you want?" The witch smiled which just made her look more frightening. She started to explain and had to repeat herself a number of times before Fia understood. Twenty years ago Arthras and the queen were struggling to have a child, no matter what they tried nothing worked even the great Marlin could do nothing so he began looking for people who were rumoured to be able to help create life. This lead him to the witch's door, she had help a few local rich people in the area conceive for a small amount of money. She convinced Marlin and the queen was sent to her, nine months later Fia was born.
Although that wasn't the end of it, the queen had acted very strange throughout her pregnancy the king and Marlin had put this up to her hormones but after giving birth she continued to get worse. Many of the things she did shouldn't be said in polite society but some of the things she did in bed Arthras definitely wasn't complaining about, it was part way in to her second pregnancy that Marlin travelled the long journey back to the witch's hut in the Vorst forest. The hut was empty and look like no one had been there in a few years but Marlin felt a magic source near by so he followed a small path deeper in to the woods and found a small cave. The magic barriers protecting the cave were no match for Marlin.
Deep in the cave Marlin found a person a sleep on a bed moss, that person was the queen. It was far out of the power of the witch to create out life using magic but like most women she could make life using her own body. So when ever a rich couple came to her wanting help she put the woman in to a deep sleep and replaced her for nine months. Once she gave birth she would wake the woman up implant a few vague memories, the couple got a kid and she got to have as much sex and pampering she could take, everyone won. When she gave birth to Fia things changed she had always give birth to boys, as soon as she found out she had a girl, she knew she had to stay to train her as a witch.
Of course as soon as Marlin found out he came rushing back all fire and brimstone, the witch just escaped with her life before he got back carrying her unborn second child with her. "And that brave witch was.....ME! Fia, I am your mother" the witch finished. Fia was speechless.
"B-But why are you back?" Fia said as tears appeared in her eyes.
"I already said, to train you and stop this damn marriage".
"But why did you look like Esmeralda?"
"I needed a disguise and I've been one queen why not another but don't worry I've learned my lesson about leaving queens in caves" she showed Fia a diamond necklace hidden under her rags "I changed her in to this".
"NO you're lying" Fia ran off crying.
"Well, that could have gone better". Then in the mud the witch saw a potion, she picked it up and saw on the mud caked label MAID. Does she drink it or change back in to Queen Esmeralda.
