This choice: A shy 18 year old girl with short, black hair • Go Back...Chapter #2The youngest (and shyest) maid by: T.J.   Robert was introduced to a young girl with short, black hair in a dark blue Victorian maid outfit, with black boots to match. She seemed hesitant to look directly at the man before her until she asked him once more,
"You ARE Mr. Thornbear, right?"
Robert nodded in reply as he got out his wallet and showed the woman his ID.
"Great! It's nice to see you finally arrived!" the cheerful girl replied as Robert made his way into the house..and heard the door slam shut right after.
"My name is Erika Tanderson! Nice to meet you!" the polite maid said as she bowed before Robert, who felt weird being addressed this way.
"You can just call me 'Robert'", he explained to the girl as she smiled at him. "And you don't have to bow."
"Okay! Welcome, Robert!"
"Thanks..."
Robert trailed off from the young woman in front of him as he scoped out the sheer size of the house; it was huge! Not only that, but there seemed to be several different sized staircases and rooms. Some were much bigger than him, and others were much smaller.
"This is quite a place you have here", commented Robert, watching Erika run up to him.
"Yes it is. Remember when your uncle told you in his will that we were 'unbelievable'?"
"Vaguely. Why?"
"Well...the truth is, the other maids and myself here are magic users. We can duplicate ourselves, grow and shrink in size, run super fast, fly, among other abilities."
"Wow! Really?! That's so cool!!"
"You aren't scared?" a confused Erika asked her "master".
"Not at all! It may sound childish, but I always wondered what it would be like to wield power from my finger tips!"
"It's not as fun as you'd think", Erika sighed. "I mainly use my powers for taking care of the garden and straightening up the house."
"But still..! Hey! Show me one of your magical abilities!"
"Um...Robert, I don't think that's a good idea. I'm still very young and haven't trained much in magic yet.."
"'Very young'? How old are you?"
"18.."
That WAS pretty young. Not really, but..
"I've only been an apprentice maid since I was 16. I'm not used to anything but beginner spells yet."
"That's okay, Erika. You can show me one of those instead."
"Okay! I can do that!" chirped Erika as she led Robert to the garden behind the house. She sat down on a nearby wooden bench, with Robert sitting right beside her.
"Are all the other maids in this house as kind and beautiful as you?" Robert teased the girl, causing her to blush.
"S-s-s-stop it! It's hard for me to concentrate when my face is flushed red!" Erika yelled, unaware that she initiated one of her magic spells already.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
