Decide who to befriend

As you begin to walk down the hallway you come across a small group of students whom you you would recognise anywhere. As you walk up to them you see that they are indeed who you thought they were. On one side is Harry, Ron, and Hermione, and standing opposite from them is Malfoy and his two "friends". They seem to be arguing over something. Both sides stop however, when they see you walking towards them and turn to face you. "I overheard you..." You say. "I didn't mean to interrupt, but..."
