Bitter defeat

You wait for the car to slow down a bit and pull over to the side of the street. Your hands are shaking and you feel dizzy as you step out of the car onto the sidewalk. You throw up a little as you hear the other cars whizz past you. Apparently, the adrenaline rush was too much for you to handle, otherwise you might have noticed that the finish line was less then a mile in front of you. "Oh man..." You moan as the last car finishes one place above last. The race is over and you came in dead last... what now?
