You could see the dark shadow engulfing the area at such speed, and that it was impossible to dodge it now. Closing your eyes, you pushed your hands up, and praying secretly for a miracle.
After a while, you opened your eyes, and the dark shadow area was still around, yet you are not standing in a pool of blood ... yet. You looked up, and to your surprise and horror, your hands were struggling against the weight of the loafer that almost crashed down upon you. Regardless of it being sheer luck or a miracle, you had survived ... for now.
Knowing that propping up the shoe even further is futile, you needed to find a way out before the whole shoe comes down upon you. The gap between the shoe and floor was not very wide, but if you were quick enough, you might be able to avoid being stepped on, though just barely. Then again, the thought that the whole "propping up" thing might have been delibrate never left your mind, so you have to make a decision, and quick.
One wrong move, and it would be all over. Quickly, you closed your eyes, and then using whatever strength you have, you rolled yourself towards the light. What happens next?
