Rachel had gone snowboarding a couple years ago and went down the wrong path. She hit a pile of jagged rocks and was buried alive in an avalanche. Her body was totally mangled in the accident. Poor Rachel was in a coma for a week and spent the next six months in the hospital, where, upon waking up, it was discovered she lost control of her bladder and bowels... as well as the use of her arms and legs, which had to be removed, leaving only small stumps.

It activated an alarm to let her family or her nurse know she needed help. Quickly someone came to the girl's assistance.
