It wasn't that much of a decision for Barry. He still refused to believe that such a tiny town could really have a zoo with actual exotic animals in it, let alone mammals who need a ton of space to move about freely. He went down the confusingly long paths past various houses holding different beasts.
He was getting more worried with every animal he past. Cages full of monkeys, Llamas and wolves to name a few.
"Ok this is officially getting weird. Where the hell are the zoo keepers?"
That was true as well. For as big as this place seemed there were no humans about keeping the animals well and fed. Almost as if.....
"Bullshit." He muttered just as he neared one particular display which caught his eye.
It was huge. Easily bigger than this place should actually have any scientific right to be. The animals below looked perfectly fine without a care in the world.
He found himself leaning forward on the guard rail blocking him from the massive terraformed pit. Just watching these amazing creatures move about and trying to wrap his head around how they could live like this without any humans.
"Careful sir. Or you'll fall in." A firm male voice came from behind him.
Barry jumped. Not used to having people around on his little tour he jolted from his perch against the rails. Which was all he needed to lose his balance and slip over them and go into the pit of.....
