The kimono was beautiful. It was an old fashioned style, clearly dating back at least a century, and was made of a gorgeous fabric that seemed to shimmer underneath the lamplight. Yukiko lifted it out of the trunk she had found it in, unfolding the fabric to drink in every last detail. It was mostly red, a beautiful scarlet colour that was flanked by a black and gold pattern, with a wide obi made out of the finest black silk. Yukiko held it up with a faint smile of amusement, as beautiful as it was, it was simply enormous. She couldn't even begin to picture the type of woman who would be able to fit into such a large kimono. She giggled a little despite herself, while she tried not to laugh at people different to herself, the size difference between herself and the original owner was staggering.
"I wonder," she began thoughtfully, before she stood up, pulling the heavy material over her small shoulders, "This is almost like a sheet," she commented, adjusting the obi to fit about her narrow waist, "It's so pretty.. it's a shame that it's too big." It was with a sigh that Yukiko reached down to undo the sash, so she could take the kimono off to put back in it's rightful place.
