The two superheroines sat in their seats for a few minutes. Eventually, Diana felt a craving for chocolate pudding. She stood up and grabbed her plate.
"I don't know about you," she said, "but I could go for some pudding."
Zatanna looked up from her food baby at Diana, then looked at the buffet line.
"I think I've got more room in the tank," she said, giving her belly a pat.
The two women made their way to the dessert table. Zatanna scooped a heaping serving of chocolate pudding onto her plate—an amount Diana doubled for herself. And what was supposed to only be a plate of pudding was soon joined by a few cookies, a slice of cake, and a bowl of ice cream. Diana was hungry, and she wanted to splurge a bit just this once. Zatanna, for her part, stuck to the pudding. She was hungry, sure, but the pudding was enough for her.
Upon returning to their table, Diana sat down and dug in.
The pudding was the first to go. Sweet, savory, and delectable—Diana finished it in minutes, dipping cookies in it along the way to enhance the experience. The cookies that she didn't eat with the pudding were used to scoop morsels of ice cream into her mouth and down to her gullet. When she ran out of cookies, she proceeded to demolish the rest of the ice cream with a spoon. She then moved on to the cake. The first slice was so good, she had to get another. And another. And another and another...
By the time she was done, Diana's belly had bloated out to about the same size it had been before Zatanna depowered the curse—if not bigger. Yet Diana didn't mind—she was too stuffed to care.
Zatanna, for her part, had stuck to her plate of pudding. While she was quite h hungry, she also needed to cut back on sweets—it seemed as though she was putting on weight.
"Ooh..." Diana moaned. "That was wonderful."
"Couldn't have said it better myself," said Zatanna. After a few minutes, Zatanna stood up.
"Well. I should probably get home. If I stay here any longer, I might clean out the buffet," Zatanna joked.
"Thank you again for all your help."
"It was my pleasure, Diana," Zatanna said, smiling. She waved. "Goodbye, Diana." And with an incantation of "emoh," Zatanna disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke.
Diana leaned back in her chair. I can probably go home now, too, she thought to herself. Her stomach grumbled, and she looked back at the dessert line.
... After I have some more cake, of course.
