Runmi was a city just like any other. As a hub for the production of kitchenware, factories made up the bulk of the employment for the denizens. This had brought modest prosperity to the city, allowing for a reasonable expansion of the architecture over the past 40 years, continuing well into the current day. The city centre was home to a few skyscrapers, nothing like the ones in the larger cities, but respectable all the same. What this city prided itself on in particular was its lush open areas. Great parks were woven into the fabric of the city's layout, granting a peaceful existence that incorporated aspects of the natural and industrial world. Of course, the inhabitants had no idea that their city existed on a planet that was a dimensional counterpoint to Earth, a sort of mirror image that resided in its own universe, separate to all the other versions of the planet. There were an infinite number of these realties, all simultaneously mirroring one another. Some of these were practically identical, others so radically different that one would struggle to reconcile them at all. On this particular world, the planet had evolved at a much smaller scale than Earth. This fact never presented itself to the inhabitants, who went about their lives believing themselves the sole, intelligent lifeforms to exist. All that would change, with a stirring of the wind...
It happened instantaneously. Any person, who would have been vacantly staring into the horizon, would have seen nothing amiss one moment, before what appeared to be a sudden eclipse, as they were instantly cast in shadow. As expected, this sudden change caused confusion, as drivers were momentarily dazed at the loss of daytime, with some losing control of their vehicles. In other parts of the city, onlookers would have been taken aback, as they saw something that defied comprehension. Looming over the metropolis, was the figure of a young man. His body towered well into the sky, standing almost as if he had always been there. He was clad in a pair of cream-coloured shorts, moving up to a tight grey t-shirt, that accentuated the seemingly toned physique beneath, and a face that was showing as much confusion as the inhabitants. This sight held the inhabitant's shock, their awe, their innate sense of thoughtlessness for a few moments, until the screams began to ring out.
