Some (but not much!) pride is left

"...told me that he thought that he is completely inferior to me!" Julia winks at you, as if she has done you a massive favour that you should be eternally grateful for.

"Well...yeah! That's kinda obvious Jules!" Laura laughs to your neighbour. "Anyway, I've gotta say - Julia: you are freakin' unreal! Like, when you said on the phone, that this jerk was in your basement, I was not expecting this! I am soooo impressed!" She gives Julia an annoyingly girly hug. You know now that Julia has completely succeeded: she has her best friend back (who happens to be the most popular girl in town) and she has you at her mercy still.

Julia cannot hide her absolute delight. "I knew that it was just a matter of time, Laura. He knows his place now, and what he did to me those years ago is clearly the biggest mistake he'll EVER make in his life!" The girls grin at each other.

"So is this like a one-time deal, or is Benny boy going to make this a regular thing?" Laura glances across at you briefly. You still feel your heart fluttering, even with the situation you are in. You can't help but feel a little cocky: if you can finish it with Julia here and try to forget about how she has humiliated you, you could still have a crack at Laura! She could even be impressed with your apparent new-found respect for women!

Laura frowns as she stares right at you, "Hmm, that's a good question..."
