Tyler looked the box Mortie gestured to over and recognized it instantly. "Pfffft...sawing in half Mortie? You sure are big on stuff everyone's already seen a million times already, aren't you?" The audience laughed.
Mortie continued to smile as he gestured toward the box on the wheeled table again. "I am a sucker for the classics kid, being a bit of a classic myself. Go ahead and climb on up into this thing. I think even you'll be impressed with the results."
Tyler looked skeptical. "Classic is just another word for old. Fine Mortie, I'll bite. Just be careful, with your track-record tonight odds are I'm going to need stitches!" the audience guffawed again.
Tyler climbed up into the box and laid down inside. Mortie closed the top and slid two panels in at either end. Tyler's entire length, save for his head and feet poking out at either end was totally enclosed in the box. Mortie came over with yet another panel. Looking the box over as if judging the contents, he finally slid it down and through a slot at the top, directly beneath where Tyler's chest was. Tyler was sure it was his imagination, but he felt an odd tingle just below his pecs.
"No saw Mortie?" Tyler asked.
"Nope. No need for one." the old performer answered as he walked out in front of the box and table. "Now, for this trick to continue, I'm going to need another member of the audience's assistance." as he spoke Mortie walked behind the curtain and retrieved a box and table rig identical to the one he had placed Tyler in. Wheeling it out, the old man again shielded his eyes from the stagelights and looked out into the audience. "Ahhhh...just the person I need for this..." he nearly sang as he stepped toward...
