Robert saw the necklace. Wondering why no one else grabbed it, he picked it up. Putting it on, he realized he could have anything.
He was the school jock but there was always room for improvment. He could the strongest person in the world. Or the fastest.
Then he thought being the strongest could make him way, way too buff. Would girls go for the Hulk? Would his strength consume him? And being that fast...if he moved, the rest of the world wouldn't. Well, at least that last one didn't make sense. And the "consume" part about strength? What the hell did that mean?
There were so many thoughts going through his head about athletes and sports. He stopped to remember his popular girlfriend, Betty. She was so pretty, and they'd been dating on and off for almost a year...yet he never go to look, LOOK at her, if you know what I mean. She looked so good, he could only imagine her in the shower or other various places. He felt sort of bad thinking those kind of thoughts, but then thought that it can't be bad being a pretty girl. With your looks it must be fun. Maybe he'd love it. But that would never happen, would it?
Robert stopped thinking about that, feeling somewhat naughty for it.
The necklace was trying to make him consider the consequences, for fun, since it was too late anyway.
