The next day, everyone woke up with no memories of the flash...and some altered memories.
In what was Steven's bed, a beautiful figure rolled around in her sleep. Then the alarm clock rang. She pushed her warm blankets off of her, and got up, looking in her giant mirror for any imperfections to fix, like any normal day. Like any normal day, there were no imperfections.
She played with her shoulder-length, perfectly cut brown hair and blinked her beautiful blue eyes. She even checked herself out, sensually running her fingers along her amazingly perfect curves and touching her Double D's which seemed like they defied gravity. She loved every second of it.
She should be familiar with herself by now and not have to indulge in this, but somehow, it was like this was the first time seeing herself. It made her happy, somehow.
Then her little sister came and ruined everything. Rachel burst in the room and said, "Stephanie! You have to get ready for school!" Stephanie replied, "Yeah, you're right, sis. Give me just a sec, okay?"
In a whirlwind, Stephanie got dressed into a skimpy but still fitting school rules outfit, grabbed her backpack, brushed her perfect teeth and finished her everyday morning routine.
But the necklace called her, and she found it mysteriously lying in front of her front door. She picked it up and started to walk to school, dazzled by it and fiddling with it.
Along the way, she said hello to everyone in the neighbourhood, helped an old lady cross the road and even played a quick game of hopscotch with some kids. Everyone loved her, and not just because she was pretty...but because she was the nicest person ever.
No wonder Jill, who was also pretty but was a jerk was the second most popular at Stephanie's school, while Stephanie was the most popular.
Still, Stephanie remembered her weird dream of someone named Steven...but reached school. The necklace still in her hands, she wondered if she should wear it for the day. Or maybe she should put it away in her bag for now.
