Animals

Samantha looked around, when she noticed that it was past seven. Her mother was late on calling her to dinner. She stood up and started her way downstairs.

"Mom, what's for dinner?" She called when she noticed a dog in the house. She jumped out of her skin. Her dad wouldn't ever alow her to have a dog, so what was the dog doing in the house.

"Dad? Did we get a dog?" She called but there was no response. Somewhere in the distance she heard the flutter of a bird. Something was going on.

She ran up the stairs to her brother's room and barged in without even knocking. "Where is Mom?" She called before she noticed a snake was eating a mouse on his bed. She screamed at the top of her lungs before the darkness overcame her.
