Chapter #5Traveling by: M.E "The last thing I want to do it stay with Mella. I'm out of here!" I tried finding a way out. It wasn't long until Mella dug her toes one last time, taking me with her. "Well, looks like I'm going to the mall. This sucks." I was brought out into the light, getting a view of the carpet floor. I see my mom's pink toenails approaching.
"OK, SWEETIE. HAVE FUN AT THE MALL. I'LL BE LOOKING FOR YOUR BROTHER. HE'S IN BIG TROUBLE."
"HEHE. HEY MOM? IF YOU FIND HIM, CAN I TAKE A TURN TO PUNISH HIM?"
"I'LL THINK ABOUT IT."
"OK. BYE, MOM." I see Mella heading to her gladiator shoes near the door. She strapped them down tightly.
"Hmm. I could jump off, but then I would have to deal with mom. I'll deal with her when I get back. If I get back. Since when did I start talking to myself? This is going to be a long day..."
Mella was heading out the door, getting inside the family's toyota. She was walking through the grass, and I was getting hit by dirt & grass. I grabbed on her pinky toe tightly as she entered the car. It was unlucky for me that I was hanging on her gas pedal foot. She started the car, and I got ready to hang on for dear life. I was holding tight each time she hit a bump. I loosened my grip everytime she stopped. Later on, she turn on the radio, tapping to her favorite song. She kept tapping her foot a lot, which ruined my pattern. I survived long enough, and the both of us arrived at the mall.
She park far away, so I had to face the burning sun. We were standing at the front of the mall, until I spotted another pair of gladiator shoes, with some purple toenails. She was one of Mella's friends, May. She had terrible foot oder, since she was very athletic.
"HEY, MELLA! READY TO GO INSIDE?"
"OF COURSE. HEY, LET'S HIT THAT NEW SHOE STORE. I WANTED TO CHECK OUT THESE NEW CONVERSES."
"OK." Through the whole walk, nothing filled my nostrils except the smell of May's foot stench. Then the girls made it to the store. They went to the corner of the store, and kicked of their shoes. "HEY, MELLA. FOLLOW ME TO THE CLERK. I NEED TO ASK A QUESTION."
"ALL RIGHT." They left in a hurry. I was near the wall, slightly baffled. I spotted the shoes. But their was a problem.
"Which one is Mella's?" I heard footsteps coming back. I just jumped into a pair and hid. Which shoes did I jump in? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
