Is found by a family member

Homer was laid out on the couch, watching the television, he wasn't watching anything in particular; he was flicking through the channels, trying to find a programme that might take his interest. His eyes were glued to the set so he didn't see which buttons he was pressing. He wasn't even aware when he pressed a button on the remote that he hadn't touched before.

Suddenly there was a spark from the back of the control and he felt a tingling sensation seemed to pass through his body. The shock caused him to drop the remote, which fell to the floor. All of a sudden the room, and the couch appeared to be growing, or rather Homer started to shrink. In the space of about half a minute he has shrunk to no more than a foot in length.

Suddenly he heard footsteps approaching as someone else came in to the room, but who?
