Stephen looked at Joseph, whose face was still buried in the comic book, and noticed that Amanda and Kirsten were not yet back from the bathroom. He decided he'd better investigate further.

"I'll be right back, son," he said.

"Okay," Joe said, not looking up from his book.

Stephen headed off. Amanda and Kristin returned from the bathroom and looked around.
