Upon entering the bar, Carly practically jumped up on one of the stools at one end of the bar, and Natalie sat beside her, taking her time. "Have you been drinking already?" Natalie asked Carly.
"No, I'm just naturally happy, I don't have to drink" Carly laughed in response.
"It helps though right" Natalie smiled.
Carly just looked at her, then rolled her eyes, laughing again. "Well duh!! Course it helps" she said. "I just wish Liz would join us" Carly then sighed, as the bartender approached them. "Two Malibu and cokes please!" Carly said with a flirty smile.
"You got it lady!" the barman, Harry, responded.
"You know Liz likes to settle in somewhere first before drinking," Natalie said.
Carly just tutted. "Yeah, but it doesn't help her having Steven hanging around her all the time. He's like a limpet" she grumbled.
Natalie smiled, and then got a straw out of a nearby glass ready for her drink. "Don't be mean! You know he has a thing for her" she told Carly, as the two of them looked at each other.
"Yeah...but she's married! Its not going to happen!" Carly stated clearly.
"He can dream" Natalie shrugged.
When their drinks were put in front of them, Carly took a long gulp of hers, then turned to Natalie again. "It just gets me mad, that's all. There's someone out there for everyone, and Steven's wasting his life away pining after someone he can never have" she said. Carly did care for both Liz and Steven, but she was also one for speaking her mind, as her friends knew all too well.
"Maybe he'll come around!" Natalie mumbled, sipping her drink through a straw.
"Don't hold your breath," Carly frowned, "There's more chance of me meeting a girl than Steven" she then said. Both girls broke out laughing.
