Chapter #4

Change isn't easy.

    by: Trigger Author IconMail Icon
A sharp pain in your arm causes you to quickly grasp your shoulder in response, a small groan of displeasure dispersing into the room. A few students look over at you for a moment. You wave your hand and mouth that "It's nothing." You smile for a moment as your caressing of your arm has seemed to stop the sudden pain. You grasp your short sleeves to see if there is anything wrong with your shoulder but find yourself relapsing into the same spout of pain, this time corresponding to your sides. Your eyes have instinctively closed out of pain but one lid opening shows a few more students have turned towards you this time.

You try to wave it off as nothing but you take notice of your hand and arm and find that it seems to be a river in a sense. The skin is coursing but your hand is only trembling. It soon begins to almost bubble in a sense, your teeth clench from the pain.

"H--hey are you O.K!?" You hear. You try to answer but cannot get passed "I..."

"Mrs. Sorrack, something's wrong with Jason." A student broadcasts but you find that it nearly a waste of breath as full attention is quickly brought to your person as you scream out in agony. You slam your head to the desk, your arms wrapped tightly around your body. Every chip of your body stings with a fiery essence, no portion unchecked-- even your eyes. The questions and banter of the students all become undertones as your ears begin to ring very loudly. Your eyes begin to blur. You become too tired to even writhe in agony and just lay with your head on the desk, facing out. Your ragged breathing method continues even as the pain subsides.

Your eyes begin to regain focus if only for a moment. You fail to see most of the students from your position but you wonder what girl is leaning her head so close to you that her hair is obscuring your view. The brown hair that falls in front of your eyes, you feel would tingle if you could feel any part of your body anymore.

~~~ ("What's happening to him?")
