A fruit falls on her; where did it come from?

As she watched the flowers, she heard something rustling in the tree above her. "What?" She said, glancing up just in time to see a large peach fall down onto her snout. She let out a large yelp and rubbed her nose. "Ow..." She said, picking up the peach. Where the hell did that come from? She thought, glancing up into the tree again. There's nothing there.... Suddenly, she heard a loud laugh spring up from the tree next to the one she was sitting under. It was a loud laugh, but instead of a sinister tune, it sounded more like it came from an elf.

Once the laughter had died down a bit a large figure dropped down out of the tree. He was wearing full plate armor with a bandoleer strapped across the chest plate, a sword strapped to his left hip, a shield on to his right arm, and a large backpack on his back. When he pulled off his helmet she realized he was a grey wolf with sky-blue eyes. "Hello!" He said, crouching down in order to get to her eye level. "Um..." Maria said, trying to process all that had just happened. "Hi?" The wolf let out another big laugh. He took a minute to calm himself before smiling and resuming talking. "Sorry about that, today is just a wonderful day to laugh is it not?" He said, opening his arms as though to gesture at everything. "The sun is shining, the wind is blowing, the trees as rustling! But you don't see anything to be merry about do you? Why is that?" He leaned a forward a bit to get closer to her. Maria rolled her eyes at the wolf's question. "It's hard to be happy at anything when you don't have anything to eat." She placed a paw on her toned belly as it let out another growl. The wolf merely smiled at this response, seeming not to have a care in the world. "But you now have fruit to eat!" He said, gesturing to the peach he dropped. "And, if you ask me, that small belly of yours looks as though it could barely handle some Lembas much less that peach!"

He then moved over next to her (he was surprisingly agile for wearing full plate armor), picked up the peach, and sat down. Maria shifted away uncomfortably. "Who are you again?" She asked, eyeing him suspiciously. "I don't think I caught your name." "Because you didn't." He said, changing his face to a serious one for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. After he had calmed down once again, he handed her the peach. "My apologies! I have just come from a feast at my homestead-elves host wonderful parties mind you-and I am in the greatest of moods! But you ask my name? I have a few names; The Wandering Knight, The Knight of the Forest, The Knight With No Castle, but my friends and acquaintances know me by Grunyar!" He smiled at her but frowned when her belly growled again. "I see you truly are hungry, come! The feast will still be going when we arrive and there should be more than enough food left!" He sprang up, put his helmet back on, and dashed off to Maria's right.Doesn't look like I have much of a choice. Maria thought, taking the peach and running after him.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Skip to the feast!

2. Along the way, ask him why he lives with elves and how he stayed in the tree.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
