After a rather restless night in a bumpy carriage, Kami had reached the village early in the morning, her already foul mood amplified by the lack of sleep that was shown by the dark circles under her eyes. Of course, she needed to get to work...
"Damn it Genzo," Kami growled as she walked through the village, her cloak fully covering her petite frame to cover up all of the weapons she had on her person. "This better be worth it..."
It wasn't too long till she had met her contact, the cow-girl Sally's father (who was rather loaded with cash, which explained the amount of the reward money). Apparently Sally had moved from the family's mansion in a rebelious action (something about a boy or whatever) and was working in the village at a farm.
Although, the important information was Sally's last known whereabouts, the woods at the edge of the village where Sally usually napped when she was slacking off from work.
A little bit later, Kami was standing at the edge of the woods... And aside from a few scratch marks on some of the trees and a pair of empty buckets thrown to the side, there wasn't a lot to go on.
So, sitting on a stump near the edge of the woods, Kami sighed loudly, her back to the woods... Unaware of a small creeping vine that slithered along the ground at the base of the stump.
"This was a bust," Kami growled placing her hands at her small chin. "I'm willing to bet that cow just ran off like a spoiled little girl..."
The vines slowly began to crawl up Kami's boots, the petite elf not even noticing...
