Soon Vanessa and Ms. Smith's ritual was underway. As they went, Sarah was informed of what they had planned for her.
"So we use Sarah as a means to channel a goddess into me, right?" Sarah heard Vanessa say eagerly.
"Yes, that is the plan. And when we succeed, you'll gain all her powers in the process. It's not like she'll want to linger in an average girl's body more than she has to." Ms. Smith confirmed.
Sarah shuddered slightly at the thought of helping these two channel a goddess into Vanessa's body. It frightened her to think what such a nasty person like the cheerleader captain would even do with such power at her disposal. And what was the Gym teacher going to get out of this for her part in channeling a divine being into someone other than herself? Especially one who would likely not keep her end of whatever bargain was going on between them?
Sarah listened as Ms. Smith began chanting a spell of sorts and soon found that she couldn't move her body at all. Vanessa seemed equally immobile, but was naturally much more comfortable with it. Sarah wondered what was going to happen to her before this goddess would be channeled into her intended host, and assumed that Vanessa would remain in control of her body once complete. She watched helplessly as some...thing began to manifest itself within the room around her. It started permeating her very being, and she wanted to scream, yet her mouth was still frozen and unable to work.
"Now, my goddess, it is time for you to enter the body of your willing host!" Ms. Smith commanded. The 'goddess', as Sarah assumed the ghostly entity around her was, hesitated for a brief moment before entering a body she deemed worthy...
