"I'll see you there okay?" Hannah said walking down the bleachers. "Okay. Uh, I'll take a shower, get ready, and I'll meet you there around seven?" Luis replied. "Alright, I'll see you then," Hannah replied, adjusting her purse strap. He watched as Hannah left, getting into her car, and driving away. For some reason, he felt different around her. Like he was self-consious or something. They had known each other, since before they could talk, and now he felt weird, around her, as though he hardly knew her.
At his house, and jumped right in the shower, and scrubbed his body. He felt he owed her to be clean, and not smell like sweat.
Once out of the shower, he found some clean jeans, and a non-wrinkled t-shirt, which took him awhile, and put them on. He flipped on a pair of his old sneakers, and brushed his teeth and hair.
"Are you going somewhere?" Maria, his mom said, as he came downstairs. "Yeah, remember I told you that I was going to Brenda's Diner with Hannah. "On a date?" She asked, taking a sip of her coffee. "No. We're just having dinner together. Something we haven't done in awhile," He replied, feeling somehow, as though he was lying, like this was a date. "Well, just be home before ten alright? You have a game tomorrow. And as far as I know, Hannah has to cheerlead your game right?" Luis nodded, and headed for the door. "See you tonight mom," He said giving her one last look, and out the door. He jumped into his car, and headed for Brenda's Diner
