Dennis took two steps toward Kristen’s room when he realized something. He had just seen Kristen two days earlier and she’d been wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and the girl he’d seen then had been the same old, slightly out of shape Kristen not this insanely hot buff beauty. How was it possible that she’d gone from average to muscular almost overnight? That’s when the voice in his head finally took hold and reminded him what the guy at the camera store had mentioned about his purchase.
“Perfect pictures.” he whispered aloud. Somehow the camera not only took pictures of his subject and made them look perfect but it somehow altered reality so that they also looked perfect in reality then mysteriously fixed the past so their changes were the norm. Dennis shook his head. It was too fantastic.
Then Dennis’s eyes fell on the pink barbell he’d spotted earlier. It was clearly larger and no longer pink. That was a definite change. He was sure of it. He had only one real way to absolutely test his theory. He powered the camera on and held it up with the lens pointed at himself. He began thinking of a story and a new image for himself. He wasn’t interested in radically changing his life, but he realized that if he really wanted to test how much this camera was able to affect history he’d have to think big. Really big. So he did.
With a full story in mind he pressed the button and was momentarily blinded by the flash.
