Julianne was a tad unsure about this, she wanted to go with her old friend but her stomach was saying otherwise. But she might actually have fun mingling with these people, she had rarely spent time with non-vores since she began being a TA, it was hard to not be involved, that had become her life, she was hoping to someday join the research team.
Anyways, she thought, maybe I can even find a cute guy to lure out somewhere, like she said to herself earlier, "opportunity would come if she waited for it." So she filled up her cup again with the fruit punch and followed the couple across the open room, that spoke well of Daniel's parents' wealth.
She continued to follow them into another smaller room, and stopped as Cassy and Daniel stopped in front of a group of people all reclining on a sofa and love seat combo with a coffee table that held the majority of the groups' drinks, in the corner of another room, presumably a more private living room, Cassy noticed that she followed and beckoned Julianne over to the group of people. Julianne graciously smiled and then turned her head eyeing the people over, she didn't initially recognize anyone, and most of the people looked tasty, she knew she couldn't eat anyone here at least until after the party, but she couldn't help as her stomach as it growled at the prospect as she sat down on the smaller sofa on the other side of the coffee table. She had somehow forgotten that most normal people were nothing more than food to her now, and it was really hard to think of them otherwise.
Julianne was busy covering the noise from her stomach up as she was being introduced by Cassy, and to be honest there was a lot of nodding and unthinking answers as a few people greeted her. Her mind was elsewhere, she couldn't help but think that all of these people are food, and she would readily eat any of them except Cassy in a heartbeat, if she had a chance to. She faked a few laughs at some of the people's jokes, Cassy had introduced a few people that Julianne might have known. "And this is Luke," she would say, Julianne would lie nonchalantly, "Yeah! I remember him, but I don't know where, mind if I ask?" This type of discussion would go on for a painfully long time. She did remember some of the names though, and she was relieved that none of the women seemed familiar from any of her vore classes.
'Ugh, why do I torture myself like this?' Julianne said to herself, she had to find a meal, these people were making things way to hard. If she had the ability to do so, she wouldn't mind devouring everyone in the room, it wouldn't be too hard to conceal it in this room, would it? The prospect lingered on Julianne's mind as the group continued to idly chat.
Julianne abruptly stood up, "Well it really was nice catching up, but I think I want some fresh air and check up on some of my friends I came with." She left before Cassy could stop her, of course she didn't care if it seemed rude, she could always just apologize to Cassy later, the rest of them were just potential food.
When she reentered the main room she looked around for any sign of her companions, she looked to where she had left Stacey, and she smiled when she noticed that Stacey and the girl she was with both be missing. 'Guess she found herself a meal.' Julianne really wished she had as she is not so subtly reminded by her growling belly. She continued to look around the room, scanning for potentially easy meals as well as Jessica. She could obviously spot a few drunk guests, they were always good potential meals, but she wanted something that didn't have the possibility of upsetting her stomach by puking in it, that was not a thought she wanted to entertain.
Eventually she decided to go outside for a bit, maybe some more interesting people would be out there, and by interesting she meant, "tasty and not drunk" naturally.
She went out the back door to a rather open wooden patio with an awning over top of it, and found even more crowds of people, these people though weren't so inebriated, so she probably would find a more suitable meal here. There were was a guy and 2 girls off the patio, holding back throwing up in the grass, so they were to be avoided at all costs. She continued scanning the patio for someone who looked tasty. She spotted a guy with medium length brown hair leaning on the guard of the patio, and alone. "Perfect!" Julianne said to herself, as she approached the man, putting her now empty cup on a windowsill.
She casually leaned into the rail and started looking out towards the open yard like he was doing. Though she tried not to, she looked over the guy, all he had one was a plain black t-shit with a plaid buttoned shirt over top of it, the collar purposefully unbuttoned and what looked like plain blue jeans. He wasn't unattractive but not overly so either.
The guy of course couldn't help but notice the dark-haired attractive girl looking him down, "The breeze is nicer than the smell of stale alcohol isn't it?" He said without even giving her a proper look, his eyes seemingly fixated on the multitude of trees.
'Ok, this guy knows exactly what he was doing,' Julianne thought to herself, 'he's probably here to just prey on girls like me. But he has no idea how exactly I plan to prey on him.' Anyways Julianne played along, so she turned herself around trying to get him to look at her form. "I know right? I just don't understand the fun behind getting drunk at these parties, they just steal from the real fun!" She said this in full knowledge that Jessica was probably getting hammered and possibly raiding bedrooms and eating all occupants, but that was Jessica for you.
She smiled at this thought as the guy turned around, he obviously thought the smile was directed at him, so he responded, "Yeah, all of my friends are in there, all hoping some girl wants to go home with them, drunk."
'This was way too easy,' Julianne thought as she responded coyly and jokingly at the same time, "Well I don't tend to like my guys drunk, I can't imagine that many girls would, but I can imagine most guys would like it the other way around."
He took the bait, "Yeah? Not me, I have no interest in persuading a woman to come home with me drunk. Being unable to speak or react sensibly to other human beings are not things I find attractive." He thought he was in full control of the situation, he had no idea.
Julianne decided to throw him a curveball though, hoping to catch him off-guard, "Yeah, well I actually think those people are extremely attractive, mind telling me where I could find your friends."
Julianne's plan worked, as she saw his face fluster, trying to come up with a response, "Well.. I, uh, um." His game was broken, he knew he wanted her now.
Julianne realized she had sent all sorts of mixed signals, but she wanted to test to see if he was genuinely interested, "Just messing with you, " She reassuringly smiled, "I just said I didn't like my guys drunk silly, it was a joke!" She laughed.
