"We should probably put each other's clothes on. Standing here naked in your room probably isn't the smartest idea" No sooner had Alexis said that, our clothes began glowing. We watched as both of our clothes turned into their opposite genders counterparts. I stood with my jaw dropped as my jeans and t-shirt changed into a grey long sleeve shirt with a wide neck and a couple buttons just below it, and a pair of short jean shorts. "That's, weird"
"Your telling me" I replied.The two of us got dressed in the new clothes quickly and left my room. Just before we left, I noticed that while my room was mostly the same all the clothes were now what you'd expect a girl my age to have. There were plenty of shorts, skinny jeans, tights, skirts, high heels, tight and revealing tops. But the room itself was the same. The same dark grey walls with sports posters all over. "So, what's next?" I asked as we walked downstairs.
"Well, the movie theater is having a special this weekend. 3 for the price of 1"
"Sounds as good a option as any to me"
"Ok, go and get your shoes" Alexis said. "And your purse"
"What? Why do I need a purse?"
"Have you looked at what your wearing. Last time I checked those pockets won't hold all that much. Your gonna need a purse to hold everything you need to bring"
I sighed. "Ok, I guess your right." With that I ran back upstairs to my room. I grabbed the first pair of not heels I saw, a pair of black converse. I threw on some short ankle socks, then slid my feet in the shoes. On my way out, I grabbed a medium sized brown purse, and tossed my phone (which didn't change at all) in it. Once I was downstairs, I said "Alright, I think I'm ready"
"Hold on one second"
"What now?"
"I just wanna make sure you have everything you may need." Alexis dug around for a minute, before looking back up at me. "Well, looks like this spell really took care of you. Seems like you've got everything you need"
"So are we ready?"
"Hold on, let's see if there's 3 good movies first." We looked at what was playing for all of 2 minutes. We quickly picked out 3 movies that would be good to watch. "Alright, we can take my car" Alexis said.
The 2 of us were in Alexis' car for about 10 minutes before we got to the movies. We walked in, Alexis purchased the tickets and I bought the popcorn and drinks. The movies weren't brand new, thaey had all come out sometime early last year. But the two of us had a good time. After the last movie, Alexis suggested that we go get some dinner before we headed back to my place. We went to a small mom and pop diner. I remembered the significance of this place instantly. This is where I took her for dinner on our first date as boyfriend and girlfriend. We'd both came here many times before with each other, except most of the time we were with other friends. "I figured this is a good place to end our date with our roles switched" Alexis said.
"Sounds like a good idea to me" I replied with a smile on my face. The two of us talked about our plans for the week, until the waitress gave us our menus, then we went over in our minds what we were going to order. "I've been thinking" I said looking up from my menu.
"You know that's not good for your health" Alexis joked. "About what?"
"Just about today. Us being who we are now. And I kinda had a fun time. I can't believe it, but I actually liked being a girl. And I was just thinking, maybe we could stay this way a little while longer. Maybe a week or two"
Alexis thought about what I had just said. "To be completely honest, I kinda like it to. I could do this for two weeks. Plus, it seems like this spell changed the world around us so nobody actually knows we aren't who we appear to be. My drivers license said my name was Alex Johnson, so our families wouldn't notice anything wrong"
Just as she said that the waitress approached us and we placed our orders. It was a little while longer before our food arrived. I had ordered a chicken burger, because I'd seen Alexis get it lots of times but never actually had one. Figured now would be as good a time as any to try it. Alexis got a bacon cheeseburger, because, bacon.
"So" I said as I took a bite of my chicken burger. "You have any plans for tomorrow?"
"Actually, I do. My grandparents are coming to town for the weekend. My mom wants me and Sarah to help with cleaning up the house"
"Want a extra set of hands?" I offered.
"Sure. With a little extra help we could all be done by lunch"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
