This choice: Make him fall asleep with magic, use dreamweaving to make him feel safer on her • Go Back... To make sure the man won’t feel nervous anymore Kayva decided to use her magic. “After I do something to you, your suspicion will be gone. Let me help you.” she said. And the man was confused. “W-what are you talking about?” the man was worried and asked. “I know that you are feeling nervous because of me. And you can dispel that emotion by my trick.” Kayva tried to explain what she was going to do to the man.
The man became more suspicious about what she tried to do.
“Umm... I...I appreciate for y-your considerate mind, b-but you don't have to do it to me.. and I h-have to go.. it is late night now... I..It was a nice conversation,,!”
Then he tries to get out of the place moving his steps.
Kayva didn't want to lose this chance to interact with this human. So she decided to do this ‘rapidly’. When the man was about to leave the place, she grabbed the human even before he noticed she reached her hand to him. Since he was suddenly lifted up on the high air, he was frightened and started yelling and screaming. “no,,, no no no no! Let me down! What did I do to make you harm me? I didn't do anything wrong! Let me go! Let me go!”
“Hey, hey little fella, listen to me. I am not going to harm you. You can go back to your home safely tonight just like you had so far. It won’t take much time for you to feel what I want you to experience”
Kayva tried to make him relieved and made a spell on him putting her hand over the man’s head. At first, the man’s response was just same. Yelling, shaking his body to get out of her hand.
But as the time passes, he felt he was losing his power on body and consciousness was fading out. Soon, he even lost energy to feel fear as well.
Kayva brushed grass on the ground a little bit and carefully put down the man on the grass.
The man completely fell asleep. Lying down on the ground, Kayva made a spell for dreamweaving to get inside the man’s dream. As she focused on her mind and spell, she fell asleep as well and got into the man’s dream.
Place of the man’s dream was somewhere in human town. Merchants shouting for their goods and foods to be sold in the market, children who are running here and there with their friends with joy, bars, ordinary houses but looked warm, crowds. Friendly atmosphere of humans were all gathered in his dream now.
Kayva was normal-sized human in the dream and wore clothes as well. Clothes were a little bit worn, but also providing the feeling of old, people’s friendly mind.
She was attracted by all of these things, forgetting what brought her inside the man’s dream. Then she came up that she should do her work to make the man open his mind to her. In other one’s dream, Kayva could find where the dreamer was. When she found him in the market, he was just wandering around enjoying the delighted noise and atmosphere of the place. He doesn't look like the one who was yelling and screaming in less than a few minutes ago.
Kayva approached to the man and talked to him. “Umm.. hey! Don’t you think we have seen each other before?” she pretended to be not sure about it. The man answered “umm.... I don't think so. Sorry..”. She noticed that he was really shy when he answered to her. Obviously he is at the opposite side of the type that follows girl’s trail.
She found his response was cute and said “Yeah, that’s fair enough.”
The man said “Well then... can I go now?.”
“One more thing” Kayva said. She reminded him of where he is. “Thanks for saying that I am the best one among our kind.”
The man was really confused, saying “Uh... Excuse me?” After that, Kayva revealed her sharp ear and said “Now, do you recognize me now?”
The man was surprised to see that. And slowly, he came up with things that he and Kayva experienced before getting into dream. Kayva said “Although it was just a dream, I was glad to see the scene of your kind’s lives, like we belong to different species.”
“What am I doing now? What is all of this?” He wondered and Kayva told him what is dreamweaving, and why she did this to him, and this is for making him trust that she is not hostile to him.
“Uh... I don't know what to say, but... It was a good experience with you, and.,. I can say that you are not going to eat or crush me... uh.. right?”
The man answered while scratching his head. “Of course not. Maybe it depends on how you behave for me?” The man felt a little bit nervous, Kayva said “Just a joke, no worries.” Kayva made a spell again to get out of dream.
They woke up from the dream. The man felt this giant elven girl is nice one, since she didn't do anything while he was sleeping, despite that she had a chance.
Kayva said “Now you understand what I tried to do.” The man said “Yes, totally.....! umm.. the most vivid dream I’ve ever had. And I didn't expect this kind of magic is possible.”
Kayva smiled at him and he became shy again just like he did in the dream.
“I am glad that I had a good time with you. But now I think I should really go now. It is late night and I should go home” The man said. Kayva was worried about it and told him “Well, I think it is not a good idea. You might not be safe with your size. Like if you ever get to meet big animals or dragons, it won’t be good for you. Especially for dragons, I can handle against small ones, but big ones will be even trouble for me as well.”
She paused and continued her words, “You can stay with me, and I will go back to my place. If it is fine with you.” The man thought a little bit and said, “I think you are right, I will follow you.”
Then she lifted up the man, grabbing him tenderly, and started heading towards her place. And they arrived..
