Without so much as saying hello Shannon grabbed the woman's shoulders and began violently shaking her. "What the fuck is wrong with you?! Can't you hear those goddamn zombies?!" She yelled as the woman smiled and uncovered her face. "Get... off... me... you whore!" The woman screamed as she stared at Shannon with her empty soulless eyes. "Gah, what the fuck are you?!" Shannon screamed as she threw the dead woman to the ground, exposing a deep wound on her lower back. The woman didn't have red glowing eyes, but Shannon sure as hell knew a zombie when she saw one. The rest of her handgun was emptied into the womans head as she began to get up. The body fell flat and Shannon began reloading her gun as the corpse began speaking again. "I'm still... alive... hee hee hee..." She taunted as she got back up while Shannon could only watch in stunned horror. "You... can't get... rid... of me... so... easily..." She spoke as bits of her head fell off and blood ran from her eyes. "No, zombies die when you shoot them in the head... and you can talk... just what the fuck are you?!" Shannon yelled as she fired another round right between the womans eyes. A fresh trail of blood ran down her face as it twisted into an expression of pure hate. "SHE'S RIGHT HERE!!!" The Mimic screamed at the top of its voice. "KILL THE HUMAN!!!"
The moans grew slightly louder and Shannon fired two shots into the zombies neck in a vain attempt to shut it up. "SHE'S HERE!!! KILL HER!!! KIIILLLL HEEEERR!!!!!" The Mimic screamed through mouthfuls of blood. Finally, after exhausting all of her options Shannon fired her last few rounds into the womans chest. There were a few seconds of silence... and the sound of a fresh body falling to the ground amidst the moans of the Sirens. "Good god, is that thing finally dead?!" Shannon gasped as she slowly regained control of her shaking hands. "That... that was some of the scariest shit I've ever seen in my life...!" She wiped a few beads of sweat from her forehead and continued down the road without even bothering to reload her gun or search the car. For a while it seemed like she wouldn't make it, but soon enough the moans began fading again. When she was finally sure she was relatively safe Shannon sat down at the base of a tree next to a speed limit sign and rested for a bit.
