Sam started shrinking back to her normal size. She was shrinking fast, and quickly put Alex down on the ground so that she wouldn't drop him by accident as she shrank. After several moments, Sam was back to her normal size. She smiled at Alex and slithered up to hug him. Just as she was about to, however, Alex jumped out of the way. Sam was confused.
"What's wrong Alex? I'm back to normal now! Don't you still love me?"
"I do, Sam. It's just that... Something weird is happening. Whenever we hug, you seem to change size. The first time we hugged was right before we fell asleep, and you became that massive overnight. Then we hugged again, and you went back to normal. I think that we need to be careful with this..."
"But I love you, Alex. I want to be able to hug you..."
"Well... Okay, but just a quick one. We still don't know whats going on with you, and I'd say better safe than sorry..."
"Okay Alex..."
Sam then moved in and hugged Alex. She released him a second later, and realized that she was growing again. This time, however, she only gained about a foot and a half before she stopped growing.
"Woah... I really grew again! You were right Alex!"
"Yeah, and I think that I noticed something else about your growth. Last night, we fell asleep hugging each other; and we both know how big you were when you woke up. But this time, we only had a quick hug. Your growth this time was noticeably less extreme than last night. I think that the length of the hug affects how much you grow, and a second hug while you're still big reverses the effect."
"I think you're right Alex! That really seems to make sense now..."
"Yep! So, my naga girlfriend, what are we going to do now?"
