Her legs were growing scales

She looked down at her legs in shock as she saw auburn scales covering her legs. Reaching down to touch them, she grazed her fingers along them. They adorned her thighs and calves, but had yet to reach her feet. She was turning into a naga! A sudden fear flooded her as she realized that if the village found out about this, she would be killed. Peaking out the door, she saw several people walking the streets already. Closing the door, she locked it in a hurry. She had to get out of here, and fast.

Rosetta felt relief for once in her life that her home was close to the forest. Climbing out the bedroom window, she darted as fast as she could into the trees. Her legs felt wobbly as she tripped several times on her own feet. It didn't hurt too much, but the sensation of the scales continuing to spread across her flesh made it difficult. She heard familiar voices in the distance.

Recognizing them to belong to the hunters from yesterday, she....
