Rosetta saw to her horror that a large snake tail was wrapped around her legs. She quickly followed the tail to the naked naga lady that glared at her quite venomously. Before Rosetta could scream she was hoisted from her bed, then held upside-down in front of the naga. She tried to scream but the naga put her hand over Rosetta’s mouth.
“Do you know who I am, human?” the naga growled. Rosetta could only shake her head, wide eyed in fear. “”I thought not. I’m the mate, or asss you humansss would sssay wife, of the naga you and your band of killersss murdered yesssterday.”
Rosetta wrestled the naga’s hand from her mouth and cried out, “Please miss, I didn’t do anything. I wasn’t in the group on my free will. I was bait to draw things out. I was unarmed, helpless. You’ve got to believe me.”
The naga paused for a moment, as though she were considering what Rosetta just said. “Whether or not you persssonally dealt death to my mate is trivial. You were there regardlessss. And you’re the only one of that group I can sssafely get clossse to.”
“So, you’re going to punish me?” Rosetta asked nervously.
“Yesss, and rather appropriately.” The naga replied.
