As the sun goes down, Dawn changes back (

Dawn was scared. Scared that she would be stuck in the immobile form of a tree for the rest of her life. She worried herself into the late afternoon, as the sun began to go down and disappear behind the mountains in the distance.

Suddenly, Ash came running past. "Ah... where could she be?" He said to himself. Just at that moment, Dawn felt her arms back again, and her roots were beginning to deroot and become feet again. I'm turning back into my old self again! She thought. As her face came back and her body returned to normal, the first thing she saw was Ash staring at her like she had a huge pimple on her face.

"And that's what happened. I turned back as soon as the sun went down."

Dawn was explaining her mysterious transformation to Ash, who seemed bewildered and unconvinced, despite the fact that he had seen it with his own eyes.

"I told you that stone was weird," Ash replied. "But why did you turn into a tree and I didn't?"

"I dunno."

"Well, that explains everything!"

The two decided to set up camp, and in the morning they would set out for Professor Rowan's to see if he had any insight.
