Kevin began to grow nervous as he saw the look on his dog's face. "Uh, Krypto?"
"Well hey there Kevin." The dog lay down to talk to him more closely, his warm breath washing over the boy. His voice was unbearably loud up close, and Kevin had to clap his hands over his ears. "How are you doing?"
He couldn't believe his ears. "I'm tiny! See?!"
"Oh, I know. It worked."
Kevin blinked. "What worked?"
"I had some of the Dog Star guys work on that alien technology, with the shrink ray. Apparently it works, which means I can go on to the next stage of my plan."
"What plan?"
Krypto stood up again, his intimidating figure towering over Kevin as he smirked. "Let's just say I'm starting to see Mechanicat's point of view a bit. I keep trying to save the world, and it never works. So I think I'm going to try a different approach - I can protect the world better, and no one will bother it, if I'm in charge of it..."
"No, no!" Kevin couldn't believe his ears. "Krypto, you can't do that!"
"Sure I can. I just have to make sure that it works, though, and you did that for me. With my shrink ray, I'll shrink the entire planet and everyone on it - except for me. Then I'll juist put myself in charge, and hope that no one objects."
Kevin shook his head. "Do...does the Dog Star team know about this?"
