She became addicted to it.

Gulping down the first spoon, Amata faltered. The soup was delicious! She had to have more!
Throwing her spoon to the side, Amata raised her bowl to her lips and drank the soup in the bowl.
"Is there... Anymore?", asked Amata, eager for more.
The creator smiled.
"Of course. I made a lot of it for you."

He led Amata into a side room which had vats of Iguana Soup. Amata sat at a table and waited as she was served. Instead of one bowl, she was given a couple of pots filled with the soup. As she finished one, it was taken away to be refilled, meaning she had an almost infinite supply.
As she drank the soup...
