Ryan lashed out with his sword, a low blow meant for Shalar's clawed feet. Shalar stepped over the sword, jumping backwards. Ryan quickly turned to see if Shalar was attacking. Shalar seemed to be contemplating, mearsuing Ryan and sizing him up.
Ryan didn't want to give Shalar the chance to size him up. He didn't want to give Shalar a chance to figure out his strengths and weaknesses. Lunging forward, Ryan held his sword out and aimed it for Shalar's pointed head.
Easily, Shalar sidestepped Ryan and brought an elbow blade slashing across Ryan's shoulder. But, not before Ryan brought his sword back and cut a large gash along Shalar's gut. Both backed away from the other, checking their wounds to see if they would hinder their fight.
The crowd cheered and Ryan turned around, seeing Shalar charging him. Ryan ducked and Shalar flew over him, a tackle meant to bring Shalar down for good. Ryan brought his sword up, hittng one of Shalar's knee blades, chinking it but not destroying it.
Damn, this is going to be tough. Ryan thought, seeing that his sword had taken more damage than Shalar's knee blade.
Shalar turned and flexed his shoulder blades. Ryan sucked in deep breaths. His shoulder wound was stinging, but he pushed it to the back of his mind. If he didn't concentrate, the shoulder wound wouldn't be the only damage he recieved in this battle.
