Gwen Ling was a transfer teacher from China. She was having a terrible time, unable to get respect from any of her students. Stuck in a foreign city, with no friends, she felt impossibly alone. Her only connection to her old life in China, was an old grocery shop that sold imported Chinese food. She drove to it on a Thursday, only to find loitering outside was Doug Kennedy one of her problem students. She was nervous exiting her car, and kept her head down to try and avoid any confrontation. Her short stature made her feel very easily intimidated. Doug, noticing her smiled to herself.
"Heya Gwen! Going to buy some flied lice are you?? You bringing that home to Jackie Chan?"
Gwen started to well up. She just didn't feel confident. Doug started pressuring her into the corner. Just then the shopkeeper showed up, a small Asian man. His presence was enough to spook Doug away. And with a smirk he said "I'll see you tomorrow Ms Ling."
The shopkeeper just smiled. "You struggle with confidence Gwen?"
Gwen, still on the verge of tears just nodded her head and walked to the counter.
"You are a good customer. You always buy the authentic goods. And I can tell you know how to cook them up. I already have your weekly shop all bagged up, but I put in some extra goodies. You need to try this tea. Secret tea. It will help with your confidence issue." The shopkeeper winked. "Do me a favour and head home. Relax, drink some of this secret tea. You'll soon be feel happy. Trust."
So Gwen went home, and started to prepare her tea. She took a deep breathe and put on some calming music. She drank her tea and started to feel different. She smiled to herself. For the first time in months, she started to feel confident.

The next day, Gwen was in the teacher lounge. She was nervous about her next class with Doug, so she made herself some tea. One sip and she smiled. She felt so confident already. She was ready for her next class, when she noticed one of her quieter students, James, Not a great learner, he feel into whatever line the louder students were feeling. James usually came in because his family had money issues, and he usually came in to supplement his lunches. James drank some of the tea. What happens next?
