For a moment, Cloud's annoyance at Yuffie was enough to distract him from the numb, icy sensation flowing from his hand and down his arm. But when he realized that he couldn't move his elbow, he glanced down, and stared in suprise and growing horror at the wave of transformation passing up his arm.
From his shoulder to half-way to his elbow, he was flesh and blood. Below that, his arm was a perfectly crafted piece of glittering, purple crystal. He could see through it to the mako energy flowing within it like veins and to the grass below it. He could even feel with it, he realized, as he moved his left arm to grasp his increasingly-heavy right one, and felt his fingers wrap around it.
The spread of transformation had reached his shoulder and he felt his heart begin to beat faster with fear, a reaction apparently not shared by Yuffie, who's eyes were open wide with wonder at the sight of his materia-crafted limb.
"What did you do?" he cried, a moment before the transformation spread up his neck and and head, sealing his features in an expression of pure shock. The transformation spread downwards too, stopping his heart, silencing his breathing, and even incorporating is clothes and armour into one single piece of human-shaped crystal.
As it completed, Yuffie wiped a tear of awe from her eye. Cloud had become the biggest piece of materia ever seen.
"You're so pretty," she breathed.
