"I'll disguise you as a chicken," Aerith suggested. The cart began to rumble forwards; clearly they didn't have a lot of time to debate this. Cloud nodded quickly and Aerith grabbed him by the arm, willing the morph materia into life.
The changes were quick and unpleasant. His hands and feet shrivelled immediately into fleshy and bony stumps respectively, causing him to fall forwards into her arms. She could feel his skin become cold, clammy, and goosepimpley as his body warped under her hands; his skeletal structure stretching and fusing to match that of a bird, and his insides hollowing out into a large cavity that obliterating his heart, lungs, and other things that would technically now be classed as gizzards. The expression on his face was pained, and she couldn't help but feel relieved as his head shrank and vanished into his swelling torso, leaving an open neck-hole.
He was shrinking, and was already light enough for her to hold him up from the dirty cobblestones of Wall Market. His clothes, fortunately, were the last to change. They unravelled and shrank, becoming lengths of string that trussed his body tightly.
The transformation completed, leaving him as a sizeable bird; she estimated him at around 10 pounds. Quickly, she took the morph materia and pushed it inside Cloud's chest cavity, before placing him onto the cart as it passed through the gates.
