"Oh, woe is me!" Violet cried. "Tis fitting that I should live in this place of old! Tis a mausoleum of my ancestors, those dearly departed!" She waited while the wind carried her skirt around her dramatically. As it died down, she slowly walked up to the gates and opened them. A creaky hinge worked its way laboriously around. The gate clanked against the wall. She looked up at the ancient building and the dead trees that surrounded it and felt a chill down her spine.
