Kodi thought it over for few seconds before saying. "Thanks Dusty, I don't think I'll be able to face him after what happened to Mom and Aleu.
"It's okay Kodi." Dusty said nuzzling him for comfort. "I understand." After consoling Kodi, Dusty then went off to tell balto the troubling news.
Unbeknownst to the two dogs they where being watched by the ghosts of two recently deceased inflated female canines.
A few minutes earlier....
A minute after the explosion the spirits of Jenna and Aleu appeared over the remains of the destroyed shed, each of them as big as they were when they popped, Aleu being 50 meters while Jenna was 80 meters.
"Wh...what happened?" Aleu said looking as best as she could (due to her inflated cheeks) before looking down at her large spherical spectral form. "What... am I... a ghost!?"
"Aleu!" The ghost canine looked up to see her mother, who was also a spectral balloon dog, albeit a little bigger than Aleu.
"Mom!" Aleu cried as the two ghost canines floated to each other and nuzzled eachother, which was a little difficult due to their inflated forms.
"Mom what happened to us?" Aleu asked in distressed. "Are we both.... dead!?" Jenna looked down sadly before answering. "Yes, I'm afraid so." Aleu couldn't believe what she heard, she and her mother popped like a pair of over inflated balloons, and it was all because of Kodi.
"This is all Kodi's fault!" Aleu said angrily. "He left us to die!" "Aleu calm down." Jenna said trying to calm her daughter down. "I'm sure he never meant for this to happened."
"I don't care!" Said Aleu. "He still left us to pop like balloons, that jerk is going to pay!" Using her new ghost abilities, Aleu flew off in search of her brother. "Aleu, wait!" Jenna called out as she too flew off after her daughter.
Aleu flew all over Nome in search of her brother with Jenna tailing her, the ghost canines floating through the cold Alaskan air like a pair of blimps. After few minutes of searching Aleu spotted Kodi entering the boiler room.
"There you are." Aleu said bitterly as she flew down and phased threw the wall. "Aleu!" Jenna called as she phased threw the wall as well.
Once inside the inflated ghost dogs floated in the air above Kodi and Dusty, listening in on the two unsuspecting dogs conversation.
"Dusty, my mom and Aleu where.... where." He says crying.
"Where what?" Dusty asked.
"Making their bellies big with air and I ran off, and then they got too big and... and." He says.
"Went boom?" Dusty asked.
Kodi nods crying.
Dusty lowers her head. "I'm so sorry Kodi."
"See Aleu." Jenna quietly said as she and Aleu as they listened to Kodi's and Dusty's sad conversation. "You're brother fells horrible for what happened.
Aleu began to calm down after seeing Kodi so heartbroken and began considering showing him and Dusty that his sister and mother where still here, Albert in ghost form, then she heard Kodi and Dusty talking again.
"How will I tell my dad?" He said looking up at Dusty.
"I can tell him if you want." Dusty said.
"Thanks Dusty, I don't think I'll be able to face him after what happened to Mom and Aleu." Said Kodi.
"It's okay Kodi." Dusty said nuzzling him for comfort. "I understand." After consoling Kodi, Dusty then went off to tell balto the troubling news.
After watching the conversation some more Aleu then.
