This choice: One of Steve's classmates • Go Back... The school would definitely give her the most opportunity for expanding her enterprise. After all, these were teenagers, and they were swirling with raging hormones and could be a big market for her business. Francine decided to make her way down to the school when it let out and hand him off to one of those girls. She had to call her son in sick anyway, and her going there to let the school know that he would need an extended leave was a good enough excuse to get on the grounds. After that, it was only a matter of finding a test customer and handing over Steve.
Gathering her things and placing Steve in her purse for safekeeping, Francine headed for the school with high spirits and a confident smirk.

Inside the purse, the young Smith son struggled to get comfortable as he wondered about what his fate would be. His mother had said nothing to him before putting him in here, only giving him a disturbingly mischievous smile before her large fingers lifted him up and dropped him in her bag. She wedged him between her wallet and a pile of pens that she had "received" from the bank, tiny chains still hanging from them. Steve could hear the muffled roar of a car engine and the music of a top 40 station that she sang along with off-key.
He had only just managed to get back to his feet when he was flung forward by the car stopping. Apparently, his mom had reached her destination, and he was now buried in a stack of fast food napkins, thankfully unused. Then his stomach felt like it had fallen into his feet, which he guessed meant his mother had picked up her purse and slung it over her shoulder. Besides the gentle sway of his container, and the murmur of other people's voices, he could pick up nothing more.

The office had been a quick stop for Francine, it was the end of the school day, and Principal Lewis wasn't one to mix words. He had accepted her request for a leave of absence with a "whatever, bitch" before shoving her out into the hall. It was now or never if she was going to pull off this venture. The mother of two walked through the halls with a casual gait while she calmly scanned her surroundings for her trial customer.
After a minute of looking, she found her target and quickly pulled them aside into an empty classroom, where she promptly gave her persuasive pitch.

Steve's world was filled with the harsh light and mind-numbing hum that only fluorescent bulbs can produce. It was soon eclipsed by his mother's giant hand reaching in to take hold of him, her fingers just shy of tight around his chest when they pinched his torso.
"Sorry, baby, but Roger had a point about how we can use this incident to benefit the family. But on the plus side, you get to be with the girl you've had a crush on for a while. While you are with her, do everything she asks of you."
His eyes finally adjusted to the brightness of the school hallway and saw that his mother had presented him to...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
