What kind of scenario does PB enter into?

1. While experimenting with her own bio-mass, Bonnibel makes an unprecedented mistake, which leaves her with an irreversible increase in her metabolism and hunger. Unfortunately, this hunger is a kind that cannot be sated by a few cupcakes or pieces of candy. Princess Bubblegum now needs to eat a living body of equal size every day, or she will wither to nothing.

2. There were humans that stuck around Ooo and didn't relegate themselves to the secure, safe islands that the remainder of humanity call home. However, due to the dangerous nature of this world after the Great Mushroom War, those humans were unable to survive on their own. Enter the benevolent Princess Bubblegum, who gave them respite from a harsh reality. The cost of this protection was swearing their loyalty and subservience to the candy royal, who discovered her love of eating them whole not long after the deal was struck. Finn, being a human whose origins lie outside of Bubblegum's control, is not subject to these conditions.

3. As the elemental of candy, Princess Bubblegum never truly returned to normal after Patience St. Pim's Elemental Purification spell. Even after the effects were reversed, Bonnibel felt a significant change in herself, which caused a growing need to change everything to candy, as she had when overtaken by her element nature. Her means would be different this time, though. She would consume and convert all until she had made the rest of the world as sweet as candy, even if she had to do it one individual at a time.
