"No, the nanites are top tier, honestly almost seems a waste on testing, but they are fully neural-linked, so in addition to physical changes, you will likely experience mental ones as well" You listen and then jump at that. "It is like the BATTY, freakin thing almost made me forget who I was, damn dude, this is not ok" you exclaim.
Jimmy looks annoyed, "Ok, dude is even worse than first naming me in the office, and no, not like that, not forgetting who you are or were, but additional information and skills, perhaps an ability to better assume a different mindset." You sit down, intrigued "Like, so if I tapped some guy and his dream woman was a hot blonde, but also a surfer, I would shift into said woman and instantly know how to surf?" Jimmy smiles since you calmed down and nods "And you would like it, like actually be able to derive enjoyment from it, even if you yourself hated the water. Or since I know you decently, if you wound up touching a woman who loved to ski, you would be her ideal partner, and love the cold, even though you personally despise cold weather and snow. You chuckle at that "Nanites that can help me get through a Northeast winter back home? Maybe I need to buy these for my own use, especially during the holidays"
He sighs "Beta testing, remember? This level of subtle neural linking is the bigger challenge, both to tactile transfer of fantasy information from the target to incorporating it into the host user. For this test, well, we needed someone to note your performance in your transformed state, so we have a test partner for you to target..
And Jimmy stands up, as the person walks in and you see:  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
