Put the amulet on

Such an item would look better on you than on a shelf to be sold by one of your fences. With a triumphant grin, you lift the amulet up over your head and place it around your neck, making sure that it rests against your chest comfortably.

"Hmm, very nice," you remark to yourself.

You begin to turn, but something grabs your attention. The amulet is beginning to feel warm against your chest. Frowning, you look down at it, confused. You grab it in your left hand and lift it up, but just as you do the heat fades. Was it your imagination? You aren't sure, but the fact remains that the feeling is gone and you are one amulet richer than this morning.

Little do you know that the amulet is, in fact, cursed. The very nature of the curse has been muddled over the years, but you will soon discover its true purpse, which is...
