End up walking through town

Looking at your watch, you saw that you had plenty of time before your parents got home. They would be coming home late tonight, and your siblings didn't get home for some time.

"Guess I can have a little fun to myself" you smiled to yourself. You were feeling a little more confident right now, although the looming sense of dread was still firm in your mind.

Anyway, you turned a corner and began walking towards the center of town. It wasn't that busy, so it was easy to walk through. You looked through the various stores and restaurants that were in the area.

"So many places to go" you muttered to yourself.

While the thought of the girl from earlier kept you company, you couldn't shake the feeling that something huge was going to happen. Something really big.

Eventually, what happened?
