Firstly here is what Charms means, it means you can now cast enchantments that cause objects to behave in ways that they would not nomally, you can't change a objects form, a Charm might cause something to flash different colours. It might cause an object to levitate or even fly through the air. Charms can make water able to stand on, or fire that doesn't burn or even create a bubble of breathable air around a person's head.
However the thing is still made of the small thing, and still posses its strengths and weakneases, if the objects wood, then it will still burn like wood, if its metal it will still conduct heat, electricity and melt.
It can't change the object any way what so ever, expect for making it do something it shouldn't,
It doesn't effect living things though, expect for plants.
