Liam is 11 years old, his younger sister Anna is 9 and his older sister Lexi is 17. It was actually Anna’s 10th birthday and she was having a small party at their family home with about 10 of her friends and it was a girls only party (obviously Liam was an accepting because he lived there). Only 2 of Anna’s friends were the same age as her both at 10 years old and the other 8 were a couple years older at 12 due to knowing Anna through their all girls football (soccer for you Americans) team. Their mum was hosting the party who was a stunning 35 year old knockout and the other mums that were there were equally as attractive and a similar age as they all frequented the gym together.
The party was small but still fun with a hired swimming pool and small 8 by 8 (foot) bouncy castle in the garden and a just dance mat set up indoors. The party had been going on for just over an hour when the 11 girls got bored of switching between swimming, bouncing and dancing - they decided to play a massive game of hide’n’seek. The girls initially asked Liam to count which he wouldn’t have minded doing as he’d be able to sneak some food off the buffet table but then Anna said she wanted to do it instead as she hated having to find a place to hide and Liam wasn’t gonna stop her from doing what she wanted on her birthday. The 5 mums were in the garden just sitting, drinking and chatting on the deck chairs out there so the girls just told Anna to go sit with them and either count to 100 or just wait a couple minutes to give them a good chance at hiding as there was so many of them. She agreed and skipped out into the garden and shouted ‘starting now’ before shutting the back door to join the mums by the chairs.
Liam was a crafty kid and as he watched all the girls scuttle around the house with all but 2 going straight upstairs, he snuck into the garage that was attached to the side of the house as there was literally nothing in there as it was where Lexi usually parked her car but was away for an u18 girls football tournament and wasn’t due back for another few hours. Of course Liam wasn’t just gonna stand in an empty garage, he’d be found in a heartbeat, instead he’d hatched a plan that he didn’t want any of the other girls to know about as he thought it was so genius he didn’t want any of the girls stealing his glory. His plan was to sneak out the front of the house and go round to the back and go into the garden through the back alley and the back gate which was being obscured by the bouncy castle and it was impossible to get round the back of it any other way due to how narrow the garden was. This would allow him to just crouch down behind the bouncy castle and no one would even think to look there as Anna was outside counting. Liam lifted the garage door just enough for his 11 year old frame to roll under before closing and locking it as quietly as possible with the spare key he’d found on the floor in the garage which had clearly been dropped and the tyre mark on it meant Lexi had clearly driven over it unknowingly at least once. He then ran down to the end of the street to where the alley started and started his slow tiptoe jog bot the back gate of his house. When he got to the back gate it was still unlocked as it was how they got the bouncy castle into the garden and it was how the delivery men were going to get it back out in a couple days time. Liam opened the gate as quietly as possible and it didn’t even make a squeak as he slithered into the small gap between the back fence and bouncy castle before closing the gate just as quietly as he opened it. He decided that his hiding place was so good he’d be there long enough to be able to lay down but the only issue was the gal was so narrow he had to lay on his side. All he could do was lay there and listen to the mums talk to Anna about her birthday presents she’d got when she realised she’d been put there ‘counting’ for almost 4 minutes so ran inside screaming ‘ready or not here I come’.
All was silent for about 3 seconds when the laughs and idle chatter resumed from the mums and then Liam heard a crunch that made him jump from down the alley behind him about 5 houses away and the recognisable voices of the 2 twins Meghan and Lauren. The crunch was followed by a whispered gasp and one of them saying ‘ew I just squished a snail’ and the other saying ‘oh well at least it was you and not me coz you’re wearing flip flops and I ain’t’. Liam heard the one who had stepped on the snail slide her foot on the ground clearly trying to get the remains of the snail off when he suddenly realised they were coming towards the back gate. They’d clearly had the same idea as him it had obviously just taken them longer to sneak out the house. Not wanting to share his glory in what he thought was the best hiding spot ever, Liam wanted to 1 up the girls and get a better spot and he instinctively thought to try and slide under the bouncy castle and just slide back out when he was the last one left to be found. He slid 1 leg under the back of the bouncy castle only to realise it was actually extremely light so hearing the twins walking past the house next door, he army rolled under the thing letting it drop onto him quickly. He had just 5 seconds to twist and adjust himself to get somewhat comfortable when he heard the girls open the gate trying to be as quiet as possible but still a lot louder than Liam was and shuffle along the back fence now standing where he was laying just over 5 seconds prior. Liam and found himself laying on his back with his head at the front of the bouncy castle and his feet kinda towards the back but more in the middle as the thing was 8 foot deep and he was only about 5 foot tall.
Liam tried to shuffle himself back discreetly a little more to see how close his head was to the front of the castle when he realised he couldn’t move back anymore and began to wonder why. That’s when he remembered the mat I front of the castle where the shoes are kept also had the fixed ladder of the swimming pool on it which was I front of the bouncy castle, meaning that mat wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon and the only current way out for Liam was the way he came in at the back. Liam tried to figure out exactly how he was positioned under the bouncy castle when he realised his face was up against a seam meaning his head was under the lip part of the bouncy castle where people usually sit and take of or put on their shoes and the rest of his body went through the centre of the castle ending about 2 feet before back where the two twins were standing. Liam thought nothing of it and even began to think this was even better than his original hiding spot when he heard his sister come out cheering to the mums that she’d finally found two of the girls (Poppy and Lilly) the two girls who were there that were the same age as Anna (10). Anna happily exclaimed she found them in the garage trying to open the garage door to sneak out front but it was locked. Sounding slightly concerned one of the mums asked the two girls why they were trying to sneak out so the exclaimed about their plan to go out the front and go round to the back gate by the alley and hide behind the bouncy castle but they didn’t realise the garage would be locked. Upon hearing this Liam heard the twins both mutter ‘oh shit’ simultaneously under their breath as the same mum who asked why they were sneaking out suggested to Anna she go round and check to see if anyone else had the same idea. Anna agreed excitedly and told Poppy and Lilly to wait on the bouncy castle where she’d send all the girls once they’d been found. Liam hadn’t even heard this as he was too busy amusing himself at the twins who were now panicking realising they were screwed as the only way out was the alley re was only 1 exit which Anna was about enter through and find them. That was all until Liam heard the 2 giggling 10 year olds getting closer and suddenly felt little bits lf pressure as the lip of the bouncy castle slowly sunk into his face twice as each girl had stepped up onto it right above his face but because of how light they were he could barely tell. Each girl was under 4 foot and about 50 lbs and even when they started jumping on the bouncy castle Liam could barely tell and they got tired after about 5 seconds and went and sat down to liams left leaning up against the wall meaning they were nowhere near sitting on Liam. In the midst of the girls getting onto the castle, Liam missed the two twins devising a plan to jump scare Anna because if they were gonna get found they at least had to get a laugh out of it. About 15 seconds or so after Poppy and Lilly sat down to the side, Liam could hear an over enthusiastic knock on the back gate and Anna trying to be spooky saying ‘if anyone’s in here I’m gonna find ya!’ She then slowly creeped the back gate open not actually expecting anyone to be there to then instantly be greeted by the 2 twins screaming boo into her face inches away. This caused Anna to scream, which caused the girls to scream as they didn’t realise the twins were right behind the bouncy castle they were sitting on which then caused the mums to scream thinking something was wrong.
‘What’s wrong!?’ Asked one of the mums. ‘Oh nothing’ replied Poppy ‘the twins just made Anna jump which made us jump’ This caused everyone to burst out laughing. Once everyone calmed down Liam heard Anna tell the twins to go back round and wait on the bouncy castle until everyone was found with Poppy and Lilly and they said ok. The twins were a lot older, bigger and heavier than the 10 year olds and Liam began to worry as he was now stuck under the bouncy castle with the weight of the 10 year olds on it and him not being strong enough to lift them, only being 11 himself.
