When Jack arrived at school the next morning, he walked right up to the long row of steel lockers so he could save some of his books in his locker and only take the books which he needed for his next class with him to his classroom. While he was busy putting the right books into his backpack, he heard several students getting into a big discussing behind his back, just a few feet away from where he was standing. Once he was done sorting out his books in his locker, he closed the door, set the combination lock so that his locker was all locked up, and turned around so he could see what the commotion was about. Before him, he saw that Gus, one of the bigger boys in his class, was having an argument with Christina, one of the other anthro fox girls in his history class and chemistry classes. The discussion didn't exactly sound like it was going all too well for Christina.
"Look, Christina!" Gus growled at her. "I don't want to see you going out with Dave, with Mike, with Jake, or with Steven anymore! You're going out with ME, is that clear? We're a couple now and that's the end of it!"
"Gus! You should listen to yourself! You're such a JERK! You have to be in control of my life? We're THROUGH! It's over! Now, leave me alone! Go away!" she cried out. "I don't want to see you anymore! All you think about is yourself! GO AWAY!"
"Now listen here, Christina!" Gus shouted angrily as he forcefully grabbed hold of her arm and pulled her towards him. "This is how it's gonna be and there is nothing you can do about it!"
"GUS! You're.... hurting... me..." the poor girl could barely get out from her mouth as she was about to scream in pain as Gus was squeezing her arm extremely hard.
Jack saw that Gus was hurting her and he decided that he had seen enough. It was time for him to intervene. He couldn't accept that the big bully was treating the poor girl like this. Normally, Jack would have stayed out of things like this, but now that he had gained over a hundred pounds of muscle himself, he didn't fear bullies like Gus anymore and he realized that he was strong enough to take on guys like him, in case he needed to use his strength.
"HEY!" Jack shouted, as he walked up to Gus and Christina. "Let her go! That's no way to treat a girl!"
"Mind your own business, Jack!" Gus grumbled back, before he turned to face Christina. "Now, where were we?"
"Let me go! Let me gooooo!!!" Christina cried even louder.
"Didn't you hear her?" Jack shouted angrily. "LET HER GO! NOW!" he said, as he grabbed hold of Gus' arm and pulled it off of Christina's arm. Christina broke free and she then ran over to where the lockers were, as far away from Gus as possible.
"Didn't I tell you to mind your own business, you little PUNK?" Gus shouted angrily at Jack.
"A girl who cries for help IS my business!" Jack replied, as he folded his arms before his muscular chest.
"Well, you interfered in MY business and you're gonna PAY for that, you little twerp!" Gus roared, as he ran towards Jack with his fists clenched as he pulled his right first back, ready to punch Jack in the face.
Jack then raised up his right leg and spun around at lightning speed, delivering a mighty kick to Gus' stomach, moments before Gus was able to come close enough to punch him in the face!
BLAMMM!!!!!!
"Aauuuooowwwauuuwwww....." Gus groaned, as he cringed for a moment, bending forward and almost falling to the ground in excruciating pain.
"This is for being such a JERK to a cute girl like Christina!" Jack said angrily, as he made two fists.
POWW!!!!
Both fists struck Gus in the face, knocking him out cold and sending him straight to the floor.
All the students, who witnessed the exchange, began to applaud as the big bully was down on the floor, completely unconscious, while Jack slowly walked back to the row of lockers where Christina stood, trembling.
"Please stop fighting... Please... Please stop..." she said with a trembling voice.
"Are you alright?" Jack said to her.
"Y-y-yes... Ohh... Thank... thank you.... He was soooo mean to me! I... He was such..."
"It's okay... He won't hurt you anymore..." Jack said as he gave the poor girl a gentle hug. "Come, let's go to class..."
Jack and Christina held hands as they walked to class together.
Gus finally got up and went to the nurse's station, where he had to get his black eye checked...
