"Your sister recieved a transformation from me since she, has powers. You, John do not" mom says seriously. You're feeling tired, and no want to put up this. "mom, please... I've had a rough day" you say.
"It could have been even rougher, John. Most witches usually transform their disbelieving sons in some way" mom says. You turn around to tell her to drop it, but you never say anything. Mom's normal blond hair is jet black, and there is no way she could have died it. She snaps her figures, and it changes color back to blond within seconds.
"I see you're both frightened and impressed" mom sooths. She moves closer to you, and you begin to fear that she is going to do something to do. Mom shakes her head.
"John, listen to me. You're a valued member of this family. Its a pity you're not, a girl, as only girls can work magic...". You turn white, and edge backwards. Mom snaps the door closed, trapping you. You immediately take on a fighting stance. Mom shakes her head. "I'm not going to change you. As I said. You're valued in this family. I don't want to see you changed. We're not going to delibrately change you. As you guessed, all three of your sisters have these powers, eventually. So will your cousin, Brooke. Can you imagine Tim when he finds out. I don't think Brooke will be too restrained..."
Some of the tension leaves out of your body. "What would you have done?" you ask. Mom smiles. "It depends on the boy of course, and how he acts. I almost decided to change you, John, but I thought about it. I don't want you to see me or your sisters as a threat. Thats what destroyed my relationship with my brother. He immediately saw me as a threat, and I was overzealous. That won't happen this time. You know how I think. You're would have looked amusing in..."
"I know.. You would have changed my uniform, or put me in some sort of dress, or a bikini... anything I wouldn't be seen dead in." you say to mom's nods. You look at her. "I've got two more questions. Hayley went away. I assume it has to do with magic. Why? The other thing is you said delibrate. IS there anything I need to know?"
